Renting at MultiRent

What do I need to rent a car?
When you rent a car from MultiRent we require two proofs of identity. One of them obviously has to be a driver's license. The second one can be a passport or a European identity card. Make sure your proof of identity is valid. Especially driver's licenses can be confusing in this respect; check the expiration date. We also need a proof of address, for example a recent bank statement or phone bill (less than 30 days old) or a plane ticket. For mid-size cars you need a Credit Card.

I am 18 years old and I only just got my driver's license, can I rent a car?
Yes, you can. Other car rental companies often add an extra charge, but MultiRent doesn't. The regular rates apply to you. You do have a higher deductible. Everything about the deductible you can read in the terms and conditions. To be able to rent a midclass car and higher, you need to be 21 years old and you must have had your driver's license for at least 1 year.

Where can I find the rates?
MultiRent doesn't like surprises. That is why our rates are all-inclusive, without unexpected extra charges. You can calculate your rate by filling in the reservation form. If you don't click on the button "confirm my reservation", but you click on the button "E-mail me this page", you will receive a quotation by E-mail.

Can I return my rental car outside opening hours?
Yes, you can. You can park the car in front of our office and leave the keys in the special secure mailbox. The car will not be checked until the next morning, however, which means that you are responsible for the car until then.

Are people other than myself allowed to drive the car?
Everyone with a valid driver's license is allowed to drive a MultiRent car. There are no extra charges involved. We do ask you to leave copies of the drivers license of any other drivers with us beforehand. If we don't have a copy of the driver's license of all drivers, the car is not always insured! Keep in mind, however, that you are responsible for the car since you rented it. This means that you remain legally liable for offenses and the like.

How is the car insured?
Your car has comprehensive third-party liability/collision insurance and a personal accident insurance is also included. The maximum third-party covering is € 2,500,000.- per occurrence. Maximum number of insured passengers is 5 for passenger cars, 9 for 9-person buses and 3 for delivery vans.

How long is one rental day?

For passenger cars applies that one rental day corresponds to a length of time of 24 hours + 2 hours. For delivery vans applies that one rental day begins at 08:30 am and ends at 08:30 am.
