You need to arrange a travel insurance in your country, among other things in case your personal belongings are damaged, lost or stolen. For driving in the rental car within the Netherlands, you don't need an insurance. Your rental car has comprehensive third-party liability/collision insurance and a personal accident insurance is also included. The maximum third-party covering is € 2,500,000.- per occurrence. Maximum number of insured passengers is 5 for passenger cars, 9 for 9-person buses and 3 for delivery vans.
How busy is it on the roads in the Netherlands?
